The Okanagan Timber Frame Advantage

  • We selectively harvest standing dead timbers, no clear cutting. We are environmentally conscious.
  • We have access to the best grade of Douglas Fir in the BC interior.
  • Timbers are cut in our mill, to our specifications and standards assuring the finest quality wood for your frame.
  • We use interior Douglas Fir as opposed to coastal Fir, resulting in tighter growth rings, fewer knots and smaller knot size.
  • Use of sophisticated 3D CAD software that was designed specifically for the heavy timber industry to generate our architectural, structural and shop production drawings.
  • Use of European CNC (robotic) manufacturing equipment for unsurpassed accuracy in cutting the joinery for your frame.
  • European craftsman on staff who oversees all production and completes all of our hand cut frames.
  • For those who want kiln dried product we have our own 60,000 board foot dehumidification kiln for drying timbers, decking, siding, paneling etc. We can also heat treat timbers to meet phytosanitary export regulations.
  • All manufacturing occurs in a climate controlled factory or shop environment.
  • Tight quality control, nothing is outsourced manufactured, from standing timber to on site raising all aspects are in house and accomplished by Okanagan timber staff or one of our representatives.
